The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) assists our state’s most vulnerable population with energy costs. LIHEAP service providers in California and across the U.S. face critical funding limitations. For 2024, California is slated to receive only $226,816,279 – $141 million less than the $368,367,431 funding received in 2023. Thousands of income-eligible households have already been turned away from receiving critical, life-saving energy assistance due to this year’s funding decrease. Please take a moment to send the letter below to your elected representatives and urge them to maximize LIHEAP funding!
